For just $25, supporters of the Save the Manatee Club can give friends and family the gift of adopting an irresistible and endangered manatee — complete with adoption certificate, photo, biography, membership handbook, subscriptions to the club’s newsletter and e-newsletter, and free shipping.

Manatees, Florida’s official state marine mammal, are considered endangered at state, federal, and international levels — and the non-profit Save a Manatee Club is working to increase public awareness, conserving the animal’s habitat, and protecting manatees themselves.

“Non-traditional holiday gifts, such as manatee adoptions, make sense in these hard economic times. You can make each dollar you spend during the holiday season count because you’ll also be helping endangered manatees — and you’ll get a tax deduction.”
