EVENT: HAITI CHERI PART DEUCE
If you’re going to be in LA tomorrow (or don’t mind making a day trip) check out the Haiti Cheri Artist for Artist Benefit featuring live music, Haitian food and Barbancourt Rum yum. All proceeds from this event are going towards the persistent relief effort via Save the Children, SOS Enfant and Cine

EVENT: NOOSA SURF FEST 2010
The Global Surf Industries Noosa Festival of Surfing , presented by Golden Breed, is back for eight days of events this year, with over 600 competitors already lined up. The week long beach festival has something for everyone, from “paddlers to grandpas and groms.” Even if you’re more of a land lover, they’re offering a week of drier events in Surf City you can enjoy.
The festival starts everyday at 7 am from Sunday March 14 to Sunday March 21. And for our Foamettes, don’t miss out on Gidget’s Girls Night Out (March 18 at 6:30 pm) featuring Kathy Kohner Zuckerman and a screening of the film.

MUSIC: THE FRESH & ONLYS
Shayde Sartin has a mouse on a string and he’s shaking it t his cat, Bruce Springsteen. Indeed, that’s the animal’s name, which is hilarious considering the San Francisco bassist’s band, the Fresh & Onlys, do a pretty bent form of pop-rock. Take the time when F&O’s singer Tim Cohen came up with “Be My Hooker” as a song title.
“Tim rambles to the point of nonsensical psychobabble,” says Sartin,” and that’s how he came up with that song title.”
