LOVE IS ALL AROUND

Abby Manock is selling her drawings as a fundraiser for her upcoming trip to Mexico to participate in Perfomagia, an international performance art festival in association with the Museo Universitario del Chopo, in Mexico City, May 18-25th, 2008.

All the “Redemption” drawings are approximately 14 x 18 inches, wax pastel, china marker and ink on paper and are $100 each.

The series of bottle drawings is based on the enthrophic concept of construction/destruction that Abby began making back in 2004.

The initial outline of the beast inside each of the bottles is drawn in the time it takes for the Joan Jett song: LOVE IS ALL AROUND to play once through, which is about 58 seconds.

The drawings are done in groups of 10. Once all ten have been outlined, she goes back in and adds the color, ink and elbow grease. She will be adding to the catalog every day as new works are created, so check back often to see the new additions.
